Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Implement Support, Change Request and configuration processes for all Windows Systems (Desktop & Server) in support of Applications for Universal Leaf Tobacco business: Vision, VMWare VDI, CRM, AX, etc;
- Adherence to Company Compliance, SOX and EHS Policies, Procedures, Training;
- Learn new Universal systems and business processes. Research and evaluate new systems, tools, techniques and processes;
- Administration and maintenance of all workstations & servers within assigned field of responsibility;
- Proper usage and completion of Horizan activities, OoO and Travel Request entries, Ticketing within Fresh, MSFT Teams & Planner activities & G-IT related surveys;
- Adherence to Information Security Policies, Procedures, Training and Initiatives;
- Team and solution offerings to remain abreast with product offerings and releases, Maintain design and recovery documentation;
- Install, configure & maintain Windows and related Business software (i.e. OS, Applications, etc.) and hardware, Identify risks and plan for implementation and/or migration of software (i.e. OS, applications, etc.) and hardware (Desktops, Laptops, and servers);
- Providing 2nd and 3rd level support to integrated ICT systems, analyse, enhance and consolidate business requirements, analyse current system processes and design;
- Decides what technology and vendors to use;
- Decides when it is time to refresh technology;
- Receive direction from the Director, Applications and/or the Technical Project Manager;
- Plan, Implement, maintain and support the enterprise’s Server infrastructure;
- Deliver high-quality solutions as part of the ETS core project team while following best practices, and team/department standards and procedures;
- Oversee investigation and resolution of Windows-related problems;
- Assists in the testing of application updates, enhancements and changes for the purpose of ensuring that assigned applications and related systems function appropriately and meet user and organisational objectives;
- Responds to inquiries from a variety of sources for the purpose of providing technical assistance, advice and support;
- Serves as a technical resource to department and organizational staff for the purpose of providing information and/or advice regarding active or planned projects and initiatives;
- Trains various departmental employees as needed for the purpose of assisting them in the proper, efficient and effective use of assigned software applications and hardware.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems or equivalent work experience;
- Experience with VMware vSphere (ESX & ESXi);
- Experience with Windows Server;
- Experience implementing and configuring VDI;
- Experience with Symantec Backup Exec 2015/2016 and Veeam;
- SAN/NAS configuration and management;
- Network monitoring/management experience;
- Experience with Active Directory;
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines and budgets.
- Ability to work and solve problems independently and within a team environment;
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated record of efficiently and effectively communicating and working with all organization levels;
- Ability to travel internationally as needed.
