Job Description
To oversee the end-to-end supply chain process, ensuring the efficient acquisition from a list of vetted and compliant suppliers, storage, and distribution of goods within the company.
To optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery to meet organizational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees the maintenance and annual review process of the Company’s approved Vendor list;
- Ensures that all compliance policies and procedures are reviewed and updated on a regular basis and that these are followed and promoted;
- Oversees the identification and selection process of approved and vetted Vendors always ensuring that the relevant corporate policies and procedures are adhered to;
- Identifies the need for and coordinates supply contracts with specific key approved Suppliers wherever required;
- Oversees and instructs subordinates in the negotiations related to short shipments, losses and returns with suppliers be they local, regional or international and ensures that all cases are mutually and satisfactorily resolved;
- Oversees payments to all approved suppliers ensuring that payments of accounts are maintained within agreed credit terms and eliminating extended / outstanding payments;
- Oversees all aspects related to the sourcing and supply of Capital Expenditure requirements for the company against agreed priority ratings;
- Oversees the departmental budget spending and makes efforts to keep spending within set budgets on a monthly and annual basis.
Requirements
- Degree in Procurement and Logistics Management or similar;
- 5 years of experience within the field;
- Job holder is required to wear the relevant PPE’s at all times while fulfilling his role as the Procurement & Logistics Manager;
- Job holder is required to be fully conversant with the EHS regulations and actively participate in all EHS drills, training, policies & procedures and reporting structures.
