Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Establish a sales strategy to suit the markets in Mozambique; 
  • Manage and grow the team and embed the consultative sales approach; 
  • Act as first salesman with existing and mainly potential customers; 
  • Transferring the company’s strategy into the Mozambican market;
  • Develop the sales organization in Mozambique with regards to personnel, offices, warehouse, logistics, etc; 
  • Generate and identify sales leads; 
  • Pitch goods or services to new clients; 
  • Maintain a good working relationship with new contacts; 
  • Following up new business opportunities and setting up meetings; 
  • Planning and preparing presentations;
  • Communicating new product developments to prospective clients; 
  • Overseeing the development of marketing literature;
  • Writing reports; 
  • Visiting clients and attending networking events;
  • Develop documentation for sales team to promote the product; 
  • Develop sales and marketing strategies; 
  • Study competition and assert the market; 
  • Sales management; 
  • Marketing management; 
  • Public Relations management.
 Requirements
  • Profound commercial (with investment goods) experience and strong communication skills;
  • Technical understanding of the product involved;
  • Previous experience in selling products to the LNG and mining sector in central and north of Mozambique;
  • Willingness to travel to Pemba and Palma;
  • Experience in managing a team;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in Portuguese and English;
  • Commercial Degree, preferably an MBA or similar; ideally combined with a degree in BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering.
